Traineeships usually take 18 months to complete.

How many hours per week are required?
School-based traineeships require you to work 7.5 hours per week. This can be a full day or two half days, depending on what works best for you. 

What about school classroom?
School-based traineeships are supported by schools and your overall classroom schedule is considered in the planning.

Where will I work?
You will work in a Good Sammy social enterprise related to your traineeship. For example, if you are working towards a Certificate 2 or 3 in retail, you will be based at one of our retail stores.

Will it be a supportive environment?
Absolutely! We pride ourselves on creating an inclusive and supportive environment for people of all abilities.

What skills do I need to be a trainee?
You will be able to acquire most of the skills you need through the course of the traineeship, whether it is through formal training or by gaining hands-on experience.

With shifts available Monday to Saturday, there's plenty of flexibility to work around your life. We also offer seasonal work during our business summer period.
